A review of class registers, transfer cards and the district placement list finds a gap between the total in the public summary and the conditions recorded at the East Gate school desk. The difference does not prove that anyone misstated the file. It shows what the public count leaves out: two classrooms are held for pupils arriving after the river crossing opens.

The class registers, transfer cards and the district placement list lists 63 children placed before the first week of term; the previous window lists 63. Tomas Reed checked both against time-stamped route logs checked against field visits. The source was checked against a second copy held by Yara Dell. No dated correction to either copy was present when the comparison closed.

The district wants a firm count before term. Families say a provisional place is the only way to plan a move. The office has not supplied a separate measure that would settle the disagreement, so the two explanations remain competing accounts.

This report supports a narrower finding: the count is repeatable, but it is not enough to decide how a school reserves places without leaving current families uncertain.

Afield visit checks the posted rule against the route residents actually use. The Year fifth, river rise window 3 file remains open for its scheduled decision. The school board will publish provisional and confirmed places separately.
